[MUSIC PLAYING] Everyone will tell you that's what it's all about in life, and it is all about loyalty in advertising for sure because it's 20 times easier to get someone to buy from you again than to get a new customer. In the loyalty pillar, what we do is we cross-sell and upsell additional items to pass customers. In e-commerce, most businesses are sitting at a 10% repeat-customer rate, meaning only one out of 10 people who buy from them ever come back and buy again.

What you're shooting for is 25% to 50%. And one of the surefire ways to push you towards that 25% to 50% repeat-customer rate is to leverage loyalty advertising, to leverage cross-sells and upsells through advertising, not just in emails, not just in sale promotions but in advertising. You can see here that in my business, year number 1, we were at a 22% repeat-customer rate.

Year 2, we made it to 34%. Year 3, 45%, getting real close to that 50% number. A very large part of how we achieved this was with loyalty advertising.
