This opens up the possibility for more products as well as creating backups in case a supplier is unable to work with you. However, this does add complexity to your business, especially if you're processing orders manually or using Shoppify [INAUDIBLE] notifications. Next, use apps.
If you're using multiple suppliers or want more control over automating ordering of [INAUDIBLE] suppliers, use an app. Apps such as Dual Plain and Smart Notifications allow you to control what's sent out to suppliers and when, whenever you receive an order for their products on your store. Next, suppliers will make mistakes. With enough volume, an error will happen. Sometimes, it will be your suppliers fault.
You'll need to own the mistakes to your customers and work with the suppliers to fix these mistakes. Next, work to build a relationship with your suppliers. Your supplier is a business partner. Treat them as such. Your success depends a lot on them. That's why it's important to build a relationship with your suppliers. Treat them respectfully and work with them. As a result, it might lead into better cost per unit, better shipping prices, or priority service for your business.
Lastly, take your own product photos. Most suppliers will not provide product photos or allow you to use theirs. This is especially true if you white label or want to brand your products. This is why it's a good idea to take your own product photos or hire a professional to take them for you.
