Lesson 5: Social and owned audiences
Leverage audiences you already own to skyrocket your text subscribers list.
In this lesson, we're going to cover two extra ways that you can collect phone numbers. Now this is specifically using old audiences. So think of the audiences as you're using your email list using your Facebook group or any other audiences on any other platform that you might. So let's jump into my computer here. And from the dashboard. We're going to head over to grow list.
And here you have a couple of different options. The first one is the text to opt in. Now with this strategy. You can view your phone number. And what this allows you to do is to have subscribers or potential subscribers send a keyword to one of these phone numbers in order to subscribe. So if they're in a US they can use this number. And if they're not in the US, they can use this number.
Now, this is something that you can have in your Instagram bio. You can have text keyword Sophia for example, to join or text list. And you can have it in your bio or you can also use the second phone number for non US numbers. So for example Canada if you have an email list. You can also leverage that email list acquire subscribers.
And here you have the option to convert your email list. And what this does is create a landing page. So you pick a keyword here. And this would automatically create a Shopify page. And I'm going to show you exactly what that looks like. So you create that page by clicking right here. And then you have your opt in text and you click on. Get link.
And once you have that, you are all you can see that it's a landing page that allows potential subscribers to enter the phone number to get subscribed. So this is something that you can also have social media. So if you make a Facebook post like one of these right here you can link out to this landing page. If your Instagram bio for this. You are out you can change it to this you are all that has been generated or if you have an email list, you can put it in your email as you're sending your weekly email campaign to say, hey subscribe to our text.
This to get an extra discount. And that would send subscribers to this landing page right here to enter their phone number to get subscribed. Now one extra option that I want to add right here is the option to use a QR code. So if you have a retail store. This is something that might be interesting to you. So you can create a QR code and just like the last option you click your you pick your keyword.
And once you have that keyword picked you generate that QR code. And this is something that you can put on products product tags you can put it on social media. You can put it in your retail store, et cetera. The options are pretty much and less when it comes to collecting phone numbers because you can use the phone number or the URLs which you can link out anywhere.
